Program outline:
Students receive a series of digital files that are be accessed fortnightly. These files contain all of the information required for the next two weeks of the programme and include useful websites for the student to access and assist their creative inspiration.
The reasoning for the smaller blocks of information is to prevent the students from focusing on the more exciting aspects of the programming, and anticipating new learning, before they have fully explored and / or mastered the techniques and theories that have current relevance. It is very important especially in the first two terms that technical information is understood and the students become fluent in controlling the camera.
The Unit Standards assessed include:
- US 9034 v.3, Level 2, 4 Credits - Maintain and Operate a Still Camera – (Module one)
- US 11446 v.2, Level 2, 6 Credits - Explore Relationship Among Surface Material, and Form Qualities in Craft, Art and Design Practice – (Module two and three)
- US 11471 v.2, Level 3, 10 Credits - Select and Explore a Technical Craft, Art, and Design Process to Produce Work. – (Module four)
