System for Delivery
The Online Introduction to Digital Photography programme is delivered via internet and email contact with a qualified professional photographic tutor. Students download their course handbook, weekly photographic tasks and module assignments from our website or via email. They correspond with their tutor, and submit their weekly tasks and assignments via email, attaching their images downloaded from their digital camera. Their tutor responds with critique, advice, assistance and guidance each week, as students build towards the assignment and Unit Standard assessment at the end of each module.
Students will receive a handbook for each module detailing the programme outline, NZQA Units and assessment details, processes and responsibilities for themselves, and The Photo School in conjunction with their school, and information about their tutor.
Gateway Delivery
The Gateway Online programme has, in addition to the above, an industry placement element delivered by a local industry professional.
The Gateway Co-Ordinator is responsible for making and maintaining contact with an Industry Mentor in their area. Along with the placement, the Industry Mentor may provide assistance to the student to complete the weekly photographic tasks and module assignments.
